Benjamin Netanyahu first claimed Iran was on the cusp of having a nuclear weapon in 1992 when he was a member of Knesset. He wrote about ir in his 1995 book, Fighting Terrorism. For three decades, he has consistently said the same thing: Iran is on the cusp of having a nuke, and they’ll use it as soon as they have one.
Donald Trump pretends that America was on the verge of being nuked by Iran, but he pretends this as a legal loophole. Congress has the sole authority to declare war, but the War Powers Resolution gives the president leeway to initiate military conflict if America faces an “imminent threat” from a foreign power. This is why Trump has sounded like a Total Retard in interviews ever since his illegal war of choice started back on February 28th.
