In this video, we watch Emmitt Smith run between the tackles as he’s met by Steph Curry in the lane.  He’s checked hard by Alex Ovechkin against the boards, so he loops back then passes to Cristiano Renaldo, who bobs and weaves before bowling his third strike of the tenth frame!  Many moviegoers consider this to be the greatest play in badminton history …

The Lies Are Psychotic

Did you read the caption above?  What are we even talking about?  What is going on?  Let’s consider it’s one of five things:

  • It’s a lie
  • It’s a joke
  • It’s a harmless error
  • It’s accurate reporting
  • It’s an illustration of some kind

Watch the video a few times to get the full scope.  Compare what your eyes see to what the caption describes.  Wait for that quiet voice in the back of your head to get louder and louder until it screams something out.  Perhaps it says something not listed above:

  • That’s not Emmitt Smith!
  • This is stupid!
  • The Yankees should’ve won that World Series!

The possibilities are endless.  As a matter of fact, you might be conflicted and there might be a swirl of ideas in your mind.  It could be a combination of things.  Let’s run down the list.

Is it a lie?  Yes, but that by itself isn’t the answer.  It’s way too ludicrous!  Is it a joke?  Yes, but there seems to be a purpose for it!  Is it a harmless error?  No.  It’s framed too deliberately.  Is it accurate reporting?  No!  Just, no!  Is it an illustration?  Yes!  Bingo!

The issue here is credibility.  We have authority figures who interpret visual images, and if they’re credible, we reconsider what our eyes witnessed.  Did Tom Brady tuck the football against the Raiders, or was it a fumble?  Did Marvin Hagler beat Sugar Ray Leonard?  Did Park Si-Hun beat Roy Jones Jr?  Did the USA get cheated out of a gold medal in basketball against the USSR in 1972?  Did the “hand of God” help Argentina beat England in the 1986 World Cup?

The account of something can be way, way wrong without losing credibility if it’s done for the right reasons.  Late night comedians do this daily for the sake of comedy.  The problem comes when government figures do it.  They’re not comedians, and they’re expected to give accurate context to images we witness.  When their motivations are sinister, and when their depictions are radically different from what our eyes see, we call it propaganda.  We call it gaslighting.

In these past couple of weeks, we’ve seen some of the worst gaslighting in a long, long time.  At Never Trump Blog, Orange Clown’s credibility sailed years ago.  Now and then, a major public incident happens, the lies continue, and public trust is eroded even more.  MTG “saw the light” at the end of 2025, and more and more people are seeing through the bad propaganda in 2026.  It’s a sad state of affairs.  At this website, we like to caricaturize situations for illustration and for clarity.  Also, if they take away our humor, then the terrorists surely have won …

The Lies Are Psychotic. You be the judge …
1/28/2026 The two ICE agents who fired bullets into Alex Pretti have been placed on leave. Ordinarily, this would not be news because it’s SOP—standard operating procedure. Nothing the Trump administration does anymore is SOP, though, so it comes as a surprise. The two officers will meet with mental health evaluators, and when they resume working, it will be behind a desk. It’s refreshing to know that there’s a smidge of accountability. If would be more refreshing if we learn the AG of Minnesota acquires all relevant evidence and presents a case to a grand jury for murder, or another high crime. Besides Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, and Nazi Bovino, most common Americans viewed the killing as a pure murder. It’s time to start the process of justice, healing, and closure now …

1/27/2026 Tiny Nazi, Greg Bovino, has attacked the First Amendment, just like he’s attacked good Americans in Minneaplois and throughout the country. Thankfully, the Constitution is stronger than the Clown Car which Bovino travels in. Orange Clown hates America and has bounced Tiny Bovino from his Minnesota role, but the public will not forget the two murders their ICE agents committed …
