According to Don Jr, after graduating from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2000, he had a “brutal” conversation with his father because he wanted to take a year off to “get some stuff out of his system” before entering the corporate world.
Donald Trump immediately cut him off financially. However, the family forgot to deactivate his company gas card. Don Jr spent the next year and a half living out of the back of a truck in Aspen, Colorado, where he camped, hunted, and worked as a bartender. Because the gas card was his only remaining financial lifeline, he joked that he essentially “lived off gas station sushi for like a year.”

6/27/2026 CANCELLED!!!! Yes, the Great American State Fair has been cancelled for Saturday, supposedly because of bad weather. Sorry, folks!! You will miss out on Vanilla Ice tonight, and no one is sure if he’ll come back for tomorrow!! The fair has been a disaster so far with trickles of people showing up, power shutting off and back on, and the Ferris wheel not working. It’s surreal how bad this thing has been!
