“86” Does Not Mean to Kill or Murder …
“86” is slang. Everyone knows this. In restaurants, it means to get rid of meat or other foods going bad. It could also mean to refuse service to a drunk, fiesty patron. For example, Greg Bovino was 86ed from the Bottled Blonde bar in Las Vegas. Some people think “86” as a term came to be during Prohibition at 86 Bedford in New York. Ordinary people don’t take it to be a Mafia hit, though. Pete Hegseth and Matt Gaetz have both used “86” in social media posts regarding political adversaries and nobody took it to conspiracy to commit murder. Donald Trump is thin-skinned, vindictive, and he lacks common sense. The people who work for Trump are the same. At Never Trump Blog, we refer to Orange Clown’s administration as a Clown Car.
