Back in December, Pete Hegseth authorized war crimes against Venezuelan fishermen in the Caribbean. This was done with the pretense that the United States was under “imminent threat” because fentanyl was killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. At Never Trump Blog, we wrote in large, bold letters:

Not drugs …

For weeks, Legacy Media pretended it was about drugs even though fentanyl is manufactured in Mexico from substances originating in China and India. In early January just after the New Year, Nicolas Maduro was snatched in a military operation and taken to the United States to face drug trafficking charges. Days later, Orange Clown hosted multiple leaders of oil companies in the White House to divvy up Venezuela’s oil resources.

Fast forward to late December and it’s the same exact situation. Instead of fentanyl, the “emergency” is imminent nuclear attack from Iran. Actually, there were multiple reasons given by multiple administration members and they conflicted with each other, but Legacy Media seemed to parrot the “nuclear threat” idea as much as anything else. Here at Never Trump Blog, we knew it would be a matter of time before somebody connected the dots: It’s still about the oil. Kim Iversen does a great job of compiling what different people have said on Fox News and other organizations. Some people stick to talking points, but they come across as hacks and dweebs. Other people are rogues and they’re prone to say the “quiet part out loud” like Markwayne Mullin who, in the space of seconds, said (1) we’re at war with Iran, (2) we’re not at war, but if we were it’s because they attacked us, then finally (3) we’re not at war at all. A reporter corrected him so Mullin said he had a “misspoke”.

At Never Trump Blog, we like to stick with facts as much as possible. America didn’t care about democracy in Iraq. Bush and Cheney wanted its oil. Trump doesn’t care about democracy and civil rights in Venezuela or Iran. He wants the oil. For Noobs, you must understand:

• Malthusian Catastrophe

• Hubbert Peak Oil Theory

• Wolfowitz Doctrin

When you combine these three things, you have the recipe for World War III. (1) Thomas Malthus was an eighteenth century British mathematician, economist, and cleric. Populations rise exponentially, and he theorized that they would surpass their carrying capacity leading to famine and death. (2) Hubbert Peak Oil Theory says that physical resources are finite and sooner or later they’ll exist on our planet without us trying to extract them. Why? The tar sands in Alberta Canada can be extracted and sent through a pipeline to Texas, but there comes a point when you’re expending more energy than you’re netting. The CEO of Exxon made this observation about Venezuela’s oil. As a matter of fact, multiple experts have said the return is not worth the risk. The same goes for drilling in the Arctic area. (3) Wolfowitz Doctrine says that the United States must remain the World’s lone superpower. Any perceived threats must be dealt with, and it doesn’t matter if another country has done anything wrong, most notably Russia and China. Everyone cheered when the Berlin Wall was torn down in 1989 and the Cold War came to an end. Russia abandoned Communism, embraced Glasnost and Perestroika, and allowed McDonald’s and capitalist companies into their country. In 2014, relations soured partly because Russia was perceived to have regained its power on a World stage. Same with China. After decades of Communism, Nixon opened China in 1972. By December of 2001, they were admitted to the World Trade Organization and experienced incredible growth. Like Russia, they were shunned by the United States as soon as they reached the league of superpower status. This is the Wolfowitz Doctrine.

There’s a final note here. Trump does not care about birds and whales. He doesn’t care about the 160+ school girls killed by a Tomahawk missile in Iran. Still, you’ll hear Trump talk shit about how windmills cause graveyards of birds and they driving whales crazy. He uses adolecent terms to deal with people and policies he doesn’t like. “Green New Scam” is something he likes to say, but he doesn’t address the problems of the Hubbert Peak Oil Theory. Why is it that Trump sucks up to oil and coal industries? First of all, he won’t be alive in ten years, and he won’t be around the witness the energy crisis he’s creating. Second, and most importantly, you can put a military around fossil fuels. You can control who owns them, what the prices are, and who receives them. You can’t do this with the Sun or the wind, though. If you put solar panels on your roof, you are less of a slave to the traditional system. Denmark has used windmills for more than 800 years to grind grain and pump water. The bottom line is that Trump wants control of populations, and newer forms of energy threaten that control.

Before September 11, 2001, there was a United Nations report that the Taliban almost completely eliminated the heroin trade from Afghanistan. No matter what Trump and his new Neocon allies say, don’t believe they want to stop the drug trade. After Nine Eleven, the heroin trade kicked up again. Americans were fighting the Taliban, and it’s no coincidence that the spike happened after the war began. The leaders of Venezuela and Iran have changed, but their regimes remain in tact. Trump will try to strong-arm them and anybody that has drugs or oil. Venezuela and Iran were a couple of dominos to fall and, if Trump has his way, there will be more. Unless somebody stops him, Greenland, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, and Colombia are in his sights. The first domino to fall was the saddest, though. The US Congress fell and forfeited its role as a check on executive power. That was sad! That was really, really sad …
